- As a strong people manager, you will directly lead a team of 5 specialized engineers, coaching them towards further engineering and operational excellence. You foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes innovation, creativity, and self-reliance.
- You mentor and develop talent, ensuring the growth and success of team members.
- You oversee the prioritization, planning, execution, and roll-out improvement projects across the different business units.
- You ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards, such as proper documentation and reporting.
- You implement project management best practices and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- You have a broad technical expertise and maintain a deep understanding of engineering principles and technologies. It allows you to provide technical guidance and support to your group engineering team, resolving complex technical challenges.
- You identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- You select, coordinate and guide external partners, such as engineering consultancies and equipment manufacturers.
Your profile
- Engineer in a technical specialty, preferably electro-mechanical, with min. 10 years of experience in a managerial position.
- Proven experience in a production environment.
- Interest in and experience with digitalization projects (industrial IoT) is a plus.
- You have a very pragmatic and hands-on approach, you help your team whenever necessary and take your share of the project work.
- You are good at organizing, planning and managing projects.
- You have experience working in a matrix environment.
- You have a strong technical background and highly interested in innovative solutions.
- You have a strong analytical and critical mind which allows you to easily distinguish the essential from the secondary and able to convince your colleagues with a positive attitude.
- You are a team player, sharing your knowledge with your colleagues.
- You are an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
- You are open to change and innovation and have out-of-the-box thinking capabilities.
- You make timely decisions and take initiative.
- You are flexible in terms of working hours, and stress resistant.
- You are willing to travel internationally up to 1/4 of your time.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
